The MOHMQuit team are delighted to announce that Julie Dorling and Madeline Hubbard- our Partner Investigators from the Western NSW LHD – recently won a combined nomination for the Western NSW Clinical Researcher of the Year!
They received their award at the Western NSW Health Research Network WHRN2023 Research Symposium and Awards held in Dubbo last week. The theme of the symposium was “Advancing the quality of rural health research through networking: reflecting on our past, empowering our future.”
Both Julie and Maddy are Clinical Midwifery Consultants. They have demonstrated impressive commitment to MOHMQuit over the last few years, including support for its implementation at three sites, and ongoing leadership in smoking cessation support as core business for maternity services. Julie and Maddy are both passionate about supporting rural health services research, especially where it will improve care provided to pregnant women and their families.
