Based in the Northern Rivers of NSW, the University Centre for Rural Health is a vibrant, collaborative academic hub for rural health development.

Education Program

We empower the next generation through educating students for rural clinical practice across all health disciplines.


We do innovative research into the health needs of rural communities in the Northern Rivers and across the country.


We equip and support health professionals who are passionate about rural health through workforce development, training and resources.

Get to know us and our region

From farms to hinterland to our stunning coastline, the Northern Rivers is home to around 300,000 people. We’ve been here since 2001, focusing on the health needs of our communities, and those of rural and regional locations across the country.
