What a wonderful day for some of our allied health students and the Old Bonalbo Country Women’s Association (CWA) of NSW!
The students recently ran a wellness day with a focus on healthy ageing and had a lot of fun with the CWA members. They made protein balls, danced the nutbush, and played old school ball games!
They also had a panel discussion where they shared their discipline roles and listened to the challenges of accessing allied health in Old Bonalbo, Urbenville and Woodenbong.
The students enjoyed the day and gained greater insights into the challenges of accessing quality healthcare in small rural communities. They also learned about the great work that the CWA does and made some new friends. The CWA members were thrilled to meet the students and hear about their studies.
It was an amazing day that was enjoyed by all who attended. Thank you to everyone who participated and supported this initiative.
