UCRH Thanks One of Our Stars

The University Centre for Rural Health wishes to acknowledge the vast contribution by Dr Stephen Moore as he retires from his role of Clinical Educator with Western Sydney University School of Medicine and the Lismore UCRH rural medical program.

Dr Moore, a consultant physician, has been integral in medical education and supervision since the establishment of the UCRH and has nurtured many rural students within his General Medicine team at Lismore Base Hospital and through weekly teaching and long case presentation tutorials, providing support, knowledge, and performance skills in this area .

Dr Moore’s teaching and involvement in the program will be missed by both staff and students.

Dr Moore has a special interest and qualifications in astronomy and was presented with a star named after him in recognition of his dedication to educating medical students at the UCRH

To quote Dr Moore  “I’m just an enthusiast, and that’s why it’s such fun. No pressure to make discoveries or have a star named after me.”

Well, UCRH may just have found that star …………..
