Last weekend students and staff from the UCRH participated in an annual soccer match and BBQ hosted by one of our medical staff.
The UCRH organises regular social events for students to support wellbeing and stemming from the belief that if the student enjoys their placement, the likelihood of long term commitment to the rural sector is enhanced. Further, interaction between student cohorts, both across universities and across disciplines, provides the opportunity for students to broaden their perspective of their own discipline and understand where this fits in the “team” of professionals.
