Over the past few weeks, we’ve been proud to share Moments with Marce, a six part video series featuring Biripi/Worimi woman and UCRH Senior Lecturer Dr Marcelle Townsend‑Cross.
The response has been incredibly positive, with strong engagement and thoughtful conversations sparked across our community and beyond. If you missed any of the individual episodes, now is the perfect time to catch up.
In this short, conversational series, Marce speaks directly to camera to explore key ideas around Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories, cultures and lived experiences. Across the six episodes, she unpacks the legacies of the past, the diversity of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, connection to Country, the ongoing impacts of colonialism, resilience and self‑determination, and what it means to be an active and respectful ally.
Grounded in truth‑telling and lived experience, Moments with Marce gently challenges myths and stereotypes while encouraging reflection, learning and action. It reminds us that understanding these issues is essential to building stronger, healthier and more inclusive communities.
All six episodes are now available to watch on YouTube. We encourage you to take some time to watch the full series and share it with colleagues, students and community partners who may have missed it.
