2018 RCPE Gastroenterology Symposium – program2018 RCPE Cardiology Symposium – programme (2nd Nov)

The 2018 Gastroenterology symposium will be televised live from Edinburgh, Scotland, and will examine challenges faced in day to day practice with highly relevant lectures.

Among the lectures, we will look at biosimilar drugs in real world practice and in the future. We will examine the best approaches for dealing with gut disease in millennials – could social media and apps be the answer? We will also look at the unmet need in liver disease palliative care, the late effects of pelvic radiotherapy and its effect on the gut.

The Professor Anne Ferguson Lecture, delivered by Dr Cathryn Edwards, President of the British Society of Gastroenterology, will look at the future of gastroenterologists and what they can realistically achieve.

We welcome all interested in gastroenterology. The programme will likely be of interest to medical practitioners in hospital and primary care as well as allied health professionals, nurses and students. This event is valid for CPD points, and there is no charge to attend the event courtesy of the Royal College of Physicians Edinburgh (RCPE) and the Northern NSW Local Health District.

A programme is attached for your perusal and individuals are welcome to attend selected sessions. Please RSVP via email to me by 12th November – Monday, if you’d like to attend this event.
