Our next breakfast is happening on Tuesday 31st July and we’d love for you to join us at the UCRH – University Centre for Rural Health – Lismore.
The UCRH Social Connections Breakfast intends to foster conversation, networking and learning about a variety of community services and topics.
We are very excited to welcome back Katrina Alexander speaking to us about Health Implications of Discrimination. This presentation will look at the health implications of discrimination for key equity groups and also explore how one might identify their feelings towards people from different equity groups.
Katrina Alexander is a Senior Equity and Diversity Officer at Southern Cross University and is also a current Masters student at SCU in the School of Health and Human Sciences.(SHHS) . Katrina has extensive experience working with equity groups and marginalised populations during her various roles in the community services sector. Katrina has conducted guest lectures at Macquarie University for the Masters of Special Education, UCRH, and at SCU to enhance student understanding in working with people from equity groups and those with drug and alcohol issues.
Katrina will be joined by student presenter speaking about their student journey and current placement within our community.
