Retrieval Skills Simulation Workshop

Included will be a brief presentation, clinical skills and immersive scenarios.
Topics included are:
“Invasive lines, inotropes and vasopressors” – covering theory and practical of central lines, PICC lines, arterial lines, invasive BP and CVP monitoring, how to use inotropes, vasopressors, hot tips and pitfalls, latest considerations.
“Procedural sedation and relevant nerve blocks pertaining to Retrieval Medicine” – covering guidelines for Procedural Sedation, femoral and wrist and ankle nerve blocks.
“Cardiac considerations in Retrieval Medicine” – ECG recognition, STEMI management (lysis verses PCI and time considerations), Conscious cardioversion, External Pacing
“Inter-hospital Transfers – What you need to know” – Stay and play vs Scoop and Run, Logistical considerations, Receiving and Referring Hospital considerations, Disclosure communication hot tips and pit falls.
