The Plaster & Wound Closure Workshop is a practical, hands-on training program designed for healthcare professionals who want to build confidence and competence in wound suturing and plaster cast application for fracture management.
Participants will learn essential wound closure techniques, including suturing methods used in everyday clinical practice. Training is delivered through guided, supervised practice on realistic simulated skin models, allowing participants to develop safe technique, accuracy, and confidence in a supportive environment.
The workshop also covers plastering and immobilisation procedures for fractures, with hands-on practice using anatomical models. Participants will gain an understanding of correct application techniques, positioning, and patient safety considerations to ensure effective and appropriate immobilisation in clinical settings.
Led by experienced instructors, the session includes real-time feedback and practical guidance throughout, helping participants refine their skills and build confidence in managing acute injuries.
This workshop is ideal for healthcare professionals working in acute, primary care, or emergency settings who want to enhance their practical skills in wound management and fracture care, and deliver safe, high-quality patient outcomes.
