MERIT (Medical Emergencies Recognition, Intervention & Treatment

Target Audience: Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses, Junior Medical Officers and Ambulance Officers who care for acutely unwell medical patients.
Course Overview: This workshop includes a presentation and simulation practice of four common medical emergencies, their recognition, interventions and treatment.
Specific topics include:
 Febrile Neutropenia
 Anaphylaxis

POET (Post-Operative Emergency Training)

Target Audience: Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses, Junior Medical Officers and Ambulance Officers who Care for postoperative patients.
Course Overview: Designed to enhance the knowledge and skills required to manage post-operative emergencies. The workshop features a combination of lectures and immersive
simulation scenarios. The immersive scenarios provide the participant with the opportunity to practice their teamwork and communication skills while caring for a patient with a post-operative
emergency.
Specific topics include: Pulmonary Embolus, Hypovolaemic Shock, Post-operative Sepsis and Fluid Overload

Cost: $120 inc GST.  Morning tea and light lunch included.
