Abstract: A Dementia Support Kit was produced with consumer engagement to provide useful information for those with dementia and their families. A realist evaluation was adopted to find out ‘what worked for whom and in which contexts’. Multiple perspectives were reviewed. Data were analysed for patterns to identify mechanisms of effective dementia health literacy resources. Further evaluation is required to confirm the toolkit’s impact. Strategies for robust, user-friendly resources are recommended.
