In hospital, patients may present with dermatological
conditions requiring clinical review by junior doctors.
This presentation aims to help uncover the mystery of
dermatology and allow the doctor to consider that not all
rashes are maculopapular in nature!
By the end of this session, you will be able to:
1. confidently describe dermatological lesions including
shape, distribution, morphology, and any associated
secondary changes
2. recognise clinical presentations of common
dermatological complaints
3. understand the options for treatment in common
dermatology conditions including how to choose
between topical treatments.
