UCRH Social Connections Breakfast 2018 - Save the Dates - Tuesday 15 May Please join us... local community and social workers, and students for the UCRH Social Connections Breakfast 2018 - May Our next breakfast is happening on Tuesday 15th May and we’d love for you to join us at the UCRH - University Centre for Rural Health - Lismore. The UCRH Social Connections Breakfast intends to foster conversation, networking and learning about a variety of community services and topics. We are very excited to welcome Shauna McIntrye from YWCA - Lismore. Shauna is an Early Childhood Educator for whom place and the relationships within places are the beginning of provocations for learning. Prior to this Shauna was a Social Worker for over 20 years in roles including Counselling with children and families and Community Development, co-ordinating a range of community based projects. In Shauna’s current role with YWCA’s Community for Children program she is combining her community development skills and early childhood education commitments, working in partnership with Bundjalung Elders Council, Early Childhood Education services and Southern Cross University, to co-ordinate an innovative project, “Growing up on Widjabul Country.” Joined by student presenter Sarah Why - Nutrition and Dietetics student speaking about her student journey and current placement with Red Cross, Lismore. A variety of breakfast options will be available, we will cater for gluten-free and non-dairy options as standard. Please feel free to bring along any brochures/info to share about your organisation and programs during the networking part of the morning. We will have a space setup to share these.
