Yesterday staff at UCRH gathered to celebrate International Women’s Day. This year global theme for IWD was Inspire Inclusion. With well over a century of history and change, the first IWD was held in March 1911, and the day is now celebrated all over the world to acknowledge all those who have and are committed to forging women’s equality.
We took the opportunity to hear from a panel of fabulous UCRH academic and professional staff about their career journeys, with each reflecting how mentorship, wellbeing and professional development has impacted them along the way.
The panel discussion was facilitated by Professor Vicki Flood (our Head of School) and featured (left to right in pic) Dr Harriet Sanderson, Lecturer General Practice; Kate Van Dommele, Program Manager, Allied Health; Dr Vanette McLennan, Associate Professor of Allied Health; Hayley Jorgensen, Research Support and Administration Officer; and Talah Laurie, Project/Research Officer CRE STRIDE.
